Since moving into Tavistock’s high street in 2015, Venus Beauty & Hair has been able to expand into what it is today. An oasis of calm from the daily clammer of life. A salon where you can sit back and relax while we take care of you.

As a salon we cater for all your needs under one roof. Our treatments include, but are not limited to, gel nails, eyelash extensions, massages and facials. The hair salon has a wealth of knowledge to create beautiful colours and cuts. Keeping your hair in its best condition is our number one priority. We offer hair treatments to compliment your hair’s needs.

We are also available for weddings, proms and special occasions with our team able to offer hair, make up, lash extensions, nail treatments and more to help you prepare for the big day.

Spanning over 3 floors, our salon has a team that are consistently striving to bring the freshest styles and ideas. Our combined knowledge means we are able to listen to each client's individual needs and produce a unique salon experience for all that enter.

As a salon we work hard to have top of the line products and treatments and extensive knowledge to sit alongside them.

Our beauty therapists, hair stylists and specialists are forever updating their skill sets, gaining new qualifications and developing a deeper understanding for the products we love to use and the treatments we perform.

TREATMENTS AND SERVICES

We are a busy salon and often have a waiting list of clients trying to book in with us.
If you cannot make our your appointment please gives us 48hrs notice.
Appointments cancelled with less than 48hrs notice will be charged 50% of the treatment price.
If you cancel with less than 24hrs you will be charged in full and no future appointments can be made until payment has been made.

We will also be taking a booking fee for appointments.

Kirsty has always been the creative type and it was her creativity and drive that changed a hobby into a career. First qualifying as a nail technician, Kirsty wanted more so decided to expand her skills and has been a fully qualified beauty therapist for over 15 years.

Trained by Kim Lawless in all aspects of waxing, Kirsty is also qualified in eyelash extensions, Gelish, massage and more. Kirsty continues to balance being the salon owner as well as keeping up with the latest trends in an ever changing industry.

Sophie’s career path didn’t always lie in beauty but we’re so glad she chose it over veterinary!

Sophie joined Venus Beauty & Hair in 2016 while continuing to study her level 3 in beauty. After qualifying Sophie wasted no time in enhancing her skills. She converted her gel manicure certificate to Gelish, gained a qualification in spray tanning and lash lifts. Her passion is skin care and loves doing facials, dermaplanning and LED light therapy.

Kim’s nail career started over 20 years ago. After taking a break to raise her family, she returned to the world of nails and joined Venus Beauty & Hair nearly 2 years ago.

Kim is skilled in all aspects of nails from acrylics to spa pedicures. Kim has recently extended her days in the salon to open up more space for new clients.

Kellie joined us in May 2022 and is our full time stylist. She brings with her nearly 30 years experience and is a fantastic team member.

Kellie loves colours, cuts and giving your hair those all important treatments. She loves a great blonde; whether it’s a colour refresh or starting your journey to blonde. And if you are looking for a good cut or restyle, Kellie is all over it!

Mel joined us in March 2022, hit the ground running and she hasn’t stopped since!

She loves a great restyle so if you are looking to shake things up, Mel is the stylist for you. The salon buzz gives Mel that burst and aids her creativity. Mel is in the salon twice a week for all your hair needs.

One of the first faces you are bound to see as you are welcomed to Venus.

Kelsey has been part of the team since 2015 and is one of the cogs that keeps the salon running.

From the day to day running of the salon, client appointments, stock management to website design and our social media accounts, Kelsey organises it all.
